(posted by Emily) Saturday 27 September After lunch, we decided to check out the Portland Art Museum , as a part of Free Museum Day . a Keith Haring in the basement The museum has one Monet--probably the highlight of the museum for us a Degas ballerina some modern art--I like the colors Rick walking through the modern art this reminded me of an ink blot test modern art is weird This is something I could see in my house this was a vase, sitting on top of a tv screen, that was playing a video loop. It was a very cool effect things like this always make me think I could be a modern artist. Usually, we are both fans of Impressionism and modern art, but to be honest, we weren't all that impressed with the museum's collection.
