Top Ten: Recipes for Thanksgiving

Image
(posted by Emily)  It's that time of year again! The official kick off to the holiday season is right around the corner, and it's time to bring back all of those special recipes we only see during the next month or so. Rick and I are both looking forward to a trip to Chicago for Thanksgiving, and I've been mentally planning what we are going to eat for the holiday. Here are ten great veg recipes for Thanksgiving, some of which have inspired our menu this year! Top Ten: Recipes for Thanksgiving 1) Stuffed Acorn Squash . This recipe has been a staple for me ever since my first vegetarian Thanksgiving. I do the stuffing a little differently, with wild rice, celery, cranberries, and onion, but either way it is delicious! via 2) Horseradish Mashed Potatoes . Not sure if we'll end up with these on the table or my truffle smashed potatoes, but either way we'll be happy!  ...

Juice Cleanse: Day 3

(Posted by Emily)  Sorry I missed you all yesterday--Tuesday is my busiest day at school, and also means yoga after work. We are crankiest, lowest on energy, and most frustrated on Day 3. There's also something I notice happening on Day 3 for me personally--I...

A few recent favorites A new goal for our blog is to try and share something with you everyday during the week--whether it be a recipe we love, a food prep tip, a restaurant review, or a quick photo or two, we're doing our best to bring more vegan food into your life!  Today's post is bringing you some of the recipes popping up in our house lately!  source On Sunday, I made a batch of spaghetti squash with creamy roasted red pepper sauce . The only adaptation I made to the recipe was roasting 6 tomatoes to use in place of the canned tomatoes called for in the original. I also prefer to cook spaghetti squash upside down in a casserole dish, with some veggie broth covering the bottom inch or so, like this .  It has kept really well in the fridge, and has made for some great lunches at school this week! Over the summer, I received a ton of great recipes at my bridal shower. Attendees were asked to bring a favorite recipe that could easily be modified for...
