Maui Day 6: Kaanapali
(posted by Emily) I had every intention of going to yoga while we were at the Hyatt, but when we woke up Wednesday morning, breakfast seemed like more of a priority. After a number of days with lighter options like smoothies and fresh fruit, the carb monster in me was really craving some breakfast potatoes. After some research on Yelp , I stumbled across a pancake place called Slappy Cakes . Now, Slappy Cakes isn't your average IHOP-type joint. Instead, you cook your own pancakes on a Korean BBQ style grill set into your table. Slappy Cakes has a vegan/gluten free batter option, so we decided to go for it. Rick wanted regular pancakes (though he added maple syrup and coconut syrup), and I ordered chocolate chips and coconut peanut butter to add to mine.
