THANK YOU!

(posted by Emily)  Guys. When we started this blog thing about two years ago, I never imagined this site would be much more than a recipe archive, and a way to stay in touch with our friends and family. Well, it's officially time to celebrate.  Last night, we hit a record number of pageviews for A Veg Life. 275 people looked at the blog yesterday, shattering our previous records by almost 200 views. Or maybe you just hit refresh a whole bunch of times. Either way, we got more hits than we've ever had before, and that's because of you!  Needless to say, we feel the love :) Thank you for your support, your feedback, and your engagement. We're going to keep doing what we're doing because clearly, it's working! --E&R

Juice Cleanse: Day 3

Image
(Posted by Emily)  Sorry I missed you all yesterday--Tuesday is my busiest day at school, and also means yoga after work. Between all of that and catching up with True Detective , posting fell by the wayside.  I mentioned on Monday that we are on a raw food/juice cleanse these days. I've been packing fruit to curb the need to chew something, and tea has been the substitute for coffee. Day 3 is always an interesting day on a cleanse--I don't know about your experiences, but we always notice this day is the bottom of the bell curve. We are crankiest, lowest on energy, and most frustrated on Day 3. There's also something I notice happening on Day 3 for me personally--I...

New year, new name, new look

posted by Emily I've never been much of a New Years Resolutions person. For the most part, if I made a resolution, it would last about 3 weeks and then be forgotten. In my adult life, I've come to the realization that if I want to improve my well-being or make a change, it doesn't matter the time of year--I should just do it. Which leads us to this blog--I will be the first to admit that writing and posting has come in waves. But, by adapting our vision of what we want our site to be about, we will be able to document things that inspire us.  created with wordle I am looking forward to writing about things we are planning, enjoying, and doing right now. Of course food is a large part of our lives, but I think branching out will keep the blog fresh and interesting. Our scope and view is widening. Posts might be shorter, but hopefully all will be worthwhile.  So, in the spirit of new--I want to start creating Top Ten lists to share with you every now and then. He...
